Monticello/Moab

My last weekend of living in Monticello and Ashley came to visit me!!! Me and Grandma showed her all around town and places I didn't even know about! We went into Moab and I got to do some of the hikes for my first time! It's such a cool area but it was definitely hotter than I would've preferred.

After hiking we took a break and went and saw Prince of Persia, such a good movie :) Finally we headed back to Monticello and took a walk around the lake again, this time for pictures of course. And then we had to get pictures with the temple!

May 2010

Well I left home and moved down to Monticello to help take care of Grandma Redd! I always wanted to live in Monticello, so it was awesome to have a view of the small town life!! Especially being surrounded by family, that was something I've never experienced and it was so cool to just see them all the time!
I had to come up for a couple days because Scott was leaving back out on his mission!! But before we had that, we of course had to go see 2 of our favorite bands in concert! Daughtry and Lifehouse! Pretty much it was sensational! Lifehouse opened up for Daughtry and oh boy was it good! Our group, commonly known as the breakfast club consisting of Ashley, Scott, Matt, me and Tyler all went together.

Afterwards, me and Scott spent all of our time together doing pretty much anything and everything! One of our favorite things is snow hiking as we call it, up at Silver Lake :)

Before I went back down, we had his farewell and it was great. I was so happy for him to be going back out, he'd worked so hard for it! But it was probably the hardest goodbye I have ever said.

Spring 2010 Pt. 5

What better than having a fire and smores in the canyon!?! After taking all our pictures us girls decided we want a night of fun, and called up my best friend Scott and his brother Matt to come play with fire with us :) We put Scott in charge of the fire since that's more his area of expertise, and we busied ourselves with of course the sugar and pictures!

Spring 2010 Pt. 4

Ashley, Megan, and I felt like taking pictures one day and since it was beautiful outside, we decided to head up the canyon and hike up the river to get some good ones! The water was freezing, but it was so much fun! Especially climbing up on these huge rocks!

Megan pretty much does not like water, so at first she was very reluctant to have anything to do with it! She just wanted to take the pictures, but we convinced her to come in with us :) As you can see, she was pretty nervous and it took some help from Ashley for her to get around! At one point she found a walking stick that helped her around the rest of the river, it was hilarious! I wish I would've snapped a picture of her with it! Instead I got this next one of her! Sisterly love right?!

Spring Pt. 3

This is Tader, commonly referred to as Tader Tot! She originally was Ashley's boyfriend's dog before he left on his mission, but his family was never home so she spent all her time in her kennel. They felt really bad and decided it would be best if she had a family that could let her out and be at home with her. So they turned her into the humane society and Ashley's sister found her on sale at Petco! Well...it was quite the mess. Ashley couldn't convince her mom to adopt her with their other dog, so I called and begged Mom and Dad! Me and Taylor have been begging for a dog for years! Dad gave in and said we could if Taylor got his eagle by time he's 16. This was right before his 15th birthday and we didn't have a year to wait...
It was quite the family debate and we talked it over a lot. The family, Grandma Redd, and Ashley all headed down to PetCo while I was at work next door and went to meet her and make the final decision. Turns out while Taylor and Josh were walking her around the store, another woman noticed her and hovered over them the whole time they were there waiting for us to decide we weren't going to get her. She kept trying to throw out comments convincing us she wouldn't be a good dog for our family; so she became known as Cruella DeVil :) It seemed fitting at the time, she was trying to take over our future dog! I was anxiously waiting at work for the word if they adopted her or not, and they walked by my door and I was so ecstatic! She's been so great! It took Megan a while to get used to her since she doesn't like dogs, but she likes her now :) We just love her!

Easter 2010

We got lucky and had Grandma Redd over for part of easter, so she got to join in our awesomeness with dyng eggs!

I had a mishap the night before at a disco skating night at classic skating with my friends and learned that roller 'skating' is not my thing! I have to stick to roller 'blading'! I got lucky thank heavens considering it was my left hand instead of my right and that it wasn't broken! My mother sent me out of the house saying "don't get injured!" and...of course this is what happened :)

Then us girls went with Mom to conference! It was pretty much an awesome weekend!

Spring 2010 Pt. 2

FOUR WHEELING!!!!! Pretty much, I love it! The wind, the speed, the adrenaline rush, bring it on! We don't get to do it very often with all of our busy schedules, so when the chance came for a little trip over spring break we took it! We all packed up and headed out :) Josh of course mainly wanted to play in the dirt. It was freezing and wonderful, but so much fun! Somehow while me and taylor were out, my foot slipped off because of the mud and some weird way I ran over my own leg! I had a little limp for a little while, but it all turned out okay!
We were trying to find the next spot to ride, and we came upon an accident on the side of the road... it was pretty bad. After that it pretty much wiped all the excitement out of us and ended our day which was a shame, but it at least started out good!

Spring 2010 Pt. 1

This is one of my best friends Ashley! We had each just died our hair and decided we needed to take some pictures to send to our missionaries! And Ash had never seen the Joseph Smith movie downtown so we decided to have a temple square field trip! It was so awesome! The temple grounds were open so we had way too much fun taking pictures! We saw at least 2 couples get engaged that night!

BIG CATCH UP!

So I'm totally behind by pretty much forever! So we're going to have a major catch up here of the Lee family! I hope you can keep up! :) Even better, I hope I can!
